Walsh Brothers also held community forums with the abutters to limit the construction’s disruption to the local businesses and their daily operations.

The Beacon Hill Restoration project is one of S+H Construction’s projects. This project required the firm to gut the entire apartment except for one bathroom. Having undergone a 1960s remodeling job, the space’s original plaster moldings and a 13-foot ceiling with ornate moldings were covered up. S+H Construction was able to raise the apartment’s ceilings and replicate the plaster molding using wood after having to cover the moldings. The firm later on fabricated new shutters to match missing or damaged parts while the fireplace was bracketed by floor-to-ceiling cabinetry. There are lighted glass upper cabinets in the kitchen to give the illusion of natural light since there are no windows in that area.
